About Panel Hemlockpath
Our history, team, and approach to independent mining equipment guidance in South Korea.
Official Business Information
Registered business name: Panel Hemlockpath Mining Review Co., Ltd.
Established: 2019
Location: Office 8, 34 Example-gil, Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea
Our Origin
Panel Hemlockpath began in 2019 when founder Min-jun Park left a commercial mining operation in Paju and noticed a gap: operators running a single ASIC in residential or light-commercial spaces had nowhere to turn for honest hardware advice. Distributor sales teams pushed the newest model regardless of breaker limits. Online forums debated hash rates without mentioning Korean voltage standards or summer ambient temperatures.
Min-jun started visiting garage and basement setups across Gyeonggi Province, documenting what actually worked when a second unit joined the first. By 2021, two colleagues — electrical inspector Hye-jin Choi and former farm technician Seung-ho Lim — joined to formalise the practice from our Goyang office.
What We Do
We provide independent assessments for small-scale mining operators who are expanding beyond their first unit. Our work covers power load, thermal management, and hardware selection for ASIC miners rated at 0.05 TH/s and above. We do not sell hardware, operate mining pools, or manage fleets on behalf of clients.
Our Approach
Every recommendation starts with measurement, not marketing sheets. We bring clamp meters, thermal cameras, and sound level meters to site visits. We maintain a reference library of over 40 ASIC models tested or inspected in Korean conditions, noting actual joules-per-terahash under local ambient temperatures.
We remain vendor-neutral. Distributors do not pay us commissions, and we disclose any historical relationship if it could affect a recommendation.
Values
- Accuracy over speed — We would rather delay a report than recommend a unit that trips your breaker.
- Plain language — Technical findings are written so a homeowner-operator can act on them without an engineering degree.
- Local context — Korean electrical codes, seasonal humidity, and distributor lead times inform every assessment.
The Team
Min-jun Park — Founder, fleet expansion lead. Korean electrical safety inspector certification. Eight years in commercial and small-scale mining operations.
Hye-jin Choi — Power and breaker assessments. Former industrial electrician with specialisation in three-phase load balancing.
Seung-ho Lim — Thermal and ventilation reviews. Managed cooling infrastructure for a 40-unit farm before joining Panel Hemlockpath in 2021.
Community
We contribute hash rate efficiency data (anonymised) to a Gyeonggi small-operator network and occasionally host evening workshops at our Goyang office for operators considering their first expansion. These sessions are listed on our Field Notes page when scheduled.
